Tuition & Policies

Tuition Policies:

  • A $25 registration fee is due at time of enrollment to ensure your space in class, and is NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • 1st months tuition is due on or before your child’s first dance lesson, and it is NON-REFUNDABLE, as well.
  • Tuition is not pro-rated for missed classes or holidays, it is based on an annual fee that is equally divided by 9 months. We do not send out statements as the tuition is due on the 1st day of each month.
  • If you pay the entire year in full, you will receive a 5% discount (Sept.-May).
  • If you pay per trimester, you will receive a 3% discount (Sept.-Nov., Dec.-Feb., March-May).
  • There is a $25 returned check fee.
  • You will receive a $10 credit for every new student enrolling because of your referral. Please have new students mention your name upon registering.
  • Should you choose to withdraw your child/children from dance classes, a two week written notice is required, otherwise you will be charged for the next month’s tuition. This helps us to fill the empty space in a class by offering it to some one who is on our waiting list. Your courtesy on this matter is greatly appreciated.
  • Failure to attend class for 3 or more weeks will automatically withdraw your child/children from class, but you will still be responsible for that month’s tuition as well as the following month.
  • Costume deposits will be $30 per costume with costumes being an average of $65 per child costume and $75 per adult costume and is due November 15th and is NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • The release and medical form attached to the parent portal must be signed and returned in order for your child to begin classes.

Class Policies:

  • 1. Students are placed in class according to age and ability. Instructors have the right to move your child if they feel that another level is more appropriate.
  • 2. For our dancers’ safety, students may not be dropped at the studio more than five minutes before class time and must be picked up promptly after class. Young dancers may not be left unattended at any time.
  • 3. Pre-school children should be brought to and picked up at the door. Please be aware that our street is a one-way street. Drive the correct direction! Form one line to pick up and dropp off for the children’s safety.
  • 4. PLEASE, no visitors during class time. I feel it distracts the children (unless your child needs you).
  • 5. Proper attire is to be worn at all times. This means dance clothes- not play clothes, jeans, or T-shirts. Children taking ballet should wear a black ballet leotard, skirts optional and pink tights for class. Children taking tap and jazz classes may wear jazz pants, dance shorts, dance shirts, etc., as long as it is dance wear.
  • A. All shoes MUST be bought from the Dance Shoppe (ballet, tap, jazz and gymnastics to ensure proper fit and the proper type of shoe).
  • B. Put names in all shoes and on dance bags.
  • C. Hair is to be pulled back for all classes.
  • D. No gum, food or drinks in the studio at any time.
  • E. Practice is a must if you want your child to learn and improve.
  • 6. Please do not block the Teacher’s Parking Lot.

Class Rates

    Tuition must be paid by the 1st of each month. There is a $10.00 late fee if tuition is not paid by the 10th. For your convenience; tuition may be paid by cash, check, Mastercard, or Visa. Tuition is not pro-rated for missed classes or holidays, it is based on an annual fee that is equally divided by 9 months.

Examples:

1st child takes 3 classes = $120.00

2nd child takes combo class = $75.00

Total = $190.00/month

1st child takes 2 classes = $85.00

2nd child takes 1 class = $54.00

3rd child takes 1 class = $54.00

Total = $193.00/month

You will receive a 5% discount off your tuition if you pay the whole year in advance. (9 months, Sept.-May)
